Welcome to Vincent Benham Designs

Vincent Benham Designs is an interior and spatial design studio based in Brighton and specialising in creating bespoke interiors for homes and workplaces. Working closely with our clients we create comfortable, practical, and beautiful interiors that meet each client’s needs and dreams.

We don't have a fixed house style. By responding to the context, scale and opportunities within each brief, we create interiors that are specific to each client's needs. Most of our clients are based in Brighton, London and the Home Counties, but we have also delivered schemes in Miami, San Francisco, Sydney and Carcassonne.

As an interior and spatial designer, Vincent combines the efficient and functional use of space with a thorough understanding of aesthetics. This enables him to provide design and renovation services including structural alterations, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, lighting and colour schemes.

At Vincent Benham Designs, we believe in integrity. Great interior and spatial design doesn’t have to cost the earth, environmentally or financially. Our long-standing relationship with our suppliers means we get competitive prices for their excellent work. This enables us to work within our client’s budget. We source sustainable products and work with suppliers who have a commitment to environmentally friendly processes. We have a commitment to working openly and honestly with suppliers and clients alike, respecting their needs and supporting them throughout the process.

Confidentiality is a guiding principle of the work we deliver. Many of our clients work in the public eye and they value and protect their privacy. So on this site you can find some examples of our work, but we never identify clients by name. We are creating homes, after all, not show homes.

Three ways we can work together

Off-the-peg

Interior and spatial design is a luxury service, but it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Our ‘off-the-peg’ service is the most straightforward and low-cost approach to interior design.

We will create a scheme from contemporary, ready-made retail items. The scheme will be unique to your home, but the products and finishes will reflect the current fashions and tastes. The trade discounts we can command may well offset the cost of the design service. Think of us as your home personal shopper.

Made-to-measure

Our made-to-measure service is just as it sounds. We will find out all about your needs and the styles you love, then we will put together a scheme based on that.

We customise off-the-shelf items to create something new and uniquely matched to your taste.

Often called ’hacking’, this process give you an original finish without the cost associated with a fully bespoke project.

Totally bespoke

This is the ‘White Glove’ service for interior and spatial design. We organise everything: designed, delivered and dusted, you don’t have to lift a finger.

We offer full-service project management, creating designs for entire refurbishments or single rooms. We will plan the use of space including structural changes. We will choose colour schemes, finishes and textiles. We will select lighting solutions and furniture. And coordinate the trades to deliver a complete solution from start to finish.

We can also perform duties as your agent; commissioning and coordinating planning applications.

We work in collaboration with our clients and a fantastic team of suppliers. Pulling together inspiring ideas and brilliant products to deliver exceptional interiors.

At the most extreme level, you could simply give us a set of keys, jet off for an extended holiday, and return to a finished home; designed, installed and styled.
